2nd ASEAN Sago Symposium 2012
INTRODUCTION
The 2nd ASEAN Sago Symposium will be organized by the Faculty of Resource Science and Technology (FRST), Universiti Malaysia Sarawak. We would like to invite you to participate in this symposium, which is aimed at highlighting the research and developments on sago palm and its derivatives. The scope of the Symposium includes the board scope in the discipline and research in sago plantation. The components are Agronomy and Agriculture Sciences, Microbiology and Molecular Biology, Waste Management and Starch Utilization, Biotechnology, Economy and Social Studies, Sago Starch Chemistry and others related fields
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Scientists, academicians, researchers, graduate students, science and technology policy makers, environmental policy makers, environmental consultants, foresters, conservationists, NGOs, sago plantation managers and individuals.
SUBMISSION OF PAPERS
Abstract and Extended Abstract
Intending authors are invited to submit abstract (in MS Word format) and extended abstract on topics within the scope of the symposium either as oral or poster presentations. Posters should be in A1 size. Please submit your abstract and extended abstract online via email to sagosym2012@gmail.com.

Title: Bold, font size 14, Times New Roman
Author(s): Italics, font size 10, no abbreviations, indicates address of each author numerically in superscript, give e-mail address of corresponding author.
Text: Microsoft Word, Times New Roman 12, one paragraph, justified & single spacing. Not more than 300 words.
Extended Abstract
Text: Maximum 2 to 4 printed pages and divided into Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgement and References. Tables and Figures should be included in the text. References should be quoted in the text as name and year, and listed alphabetically in the reference list.

Malaysian Participant : RM650.00
Student : RM350.00
Foreign Participant : USD250.00
Registration includes symposium attendance and all catering (morning teas, lunches, afternoon teas) and symposium materials (Programme Book and CD Proceeding of extended abstracts). The extended abstract will only be included in the proceedings once payment is received by the secretariat.
